John 19 Verse 31 - The Holy Bible : English

Here is what the Bible says on John 19, Verse 31:

English: John 19:31

"Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation, so that the bodies wouldn`t remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."

 

In Spanish (En Español): Juan 19:31

" Entonces los Judíos, por cuanto era la víspera de la Pascua, para que los cuerpos no quedasen en la cruz en el sábado, pues era el gran día del sábado, rogaron á Pilato que se les quebrasen las piernas, y fuesen quitados. "

 

In Portuguese (Em Português): John 19:31

"Esse era o Dia da Preparação, e o dia seguinte seria um sábado especialmente sagrado. Por não quererem que os corpos permanecessem na cruz durante o sábado, os judeus pediram a Pilatos que ordenasse que lhes quebrassem as pernas e os corpos fossem retirados."
