"For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherim, and the engraved images, and the molten images."

" A los ocho años de su reinado, siendo aún muchacho, comenzó á buscar al Dios de David su padre; y á los doce años comenzó á limpiar á Judá y á Jerusalem de los altos, bosques, esculturas, é imágenes de fundición. "

"No oitavo ano do seu reinado, sendo ainda bem jovem, ele começou a buscar o Deus de Davi, seu predecessor. No décimo segundo ano, começou a purificar Judá e Jerusalém dos altares idólatras, dos postes sagrados, das imagens esculpidas e dos ídolos de metal."
